Fellowships for school system leaders, emerging leaders in education

The Southern Education Foundation (SEF) believes in the power of leaders to eradicate the policies and practices that allow race and class to be the most reliable predictors of student success. Therefore, SEF designs programs to equip these leaders with the understanding and skills necessary to navigate the complex landscape of public education while advancing equitable school strategies. At SEF, the principle of leadership development is leveraged to invest in individuals across the continuum, from rising leaders to C-Level professionals. Our programs are grounded in practical experience as well as best practice theory.

Leadership in education is the key lever to achieve equity in our schools. Inequality is the Achilles’ heel of the education system in the U.S..
