SEF Joins National Partners to Examine Federal Voucher Proposals
Southern Education Foundation recently partnered with Advancement Project, Southern Poverty Law Center, and Legal Defense Fund to host Exposing the Harms of Federal Private School Vouchers, a national webinar exploring the history and impact of voucher programs.
The discussion examined the discriminatory origins of vouchers, the effects of privatization on public school systems, and concerns surrounding proposed federal tax-credit voucher legislation.
The webinar reinforced a critical message: public education is a public good. Protecting and strengthening public schools is essential to ensuring educational opportunity for all students.
