SEF Urges U.S. Department of Education to Preserve Emergency Funds for Public Education

The Southern Education Foundation sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Education (ED) objecting to ED’s Interim Final Rule on equitable services. The published rule forces school districts to share a disproportionate amount of K-12 CARES Act funds with private schools, which we believe circumvents congressional intent.
