Dr. Lloyd Jackson currently serves as Superintendent of the Texarkana Arkansas School District, where he provides strategic leadership to advance student achievement, strengthen district operations, and foster meaningful partnerships with educators, families, and the community. He earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Henderson State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Henderson State University. With more than 20 years of experience in education, Dr. Jackson has served as a mathematics teacher, school administrator, and district leader, with a career dedicated to developing strong schools and expanding opportunities for students. A first-generation college graduate, he is committed to using education as a catalyst for individual and community transformation. He previously served as Assistant Superintendent of School Leadership for Kansas City Public Schools and spent 14 years in the Hot Springs School District, where he served as deputy superintendent, high school principal, middle school assistant principal, and mathematics teacher. Dr. Jackson also made history as the first Black superintendent in the Texarkana metro area. Outside of his professional work, Dr. Jackson is committed to serving and uplifting his community. He is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and he and his wife, Veronica, share a belief in the transformative power of education.
