Fellowship Curriculum
The 18-month fellowship curriculum will focus on building practical knowledge of concepts and issues relevant to 1) fostering of diversity, equity, and inclusion in organizations and 2) conducting rigorous evaluation and assessment of programs aimed at achieving specific goals and objectives. The curriculum will integrate these realms of knowledge and skill and culminate in each fellowship team drafting a Capstone report detailing findings from the research project it designed and executed.
The curriculum is designed around six 3-month fellowship stages:
- Each stage will have a set of overlapping objectives focused on community building among fellows, professional development emphasizing principles of DEI and program evaluation, and conceptualizing and executing the Capstone.
- Each stage will build on previous stages. In-person meetings will serve as agenda-setters, with virtual meetings bridging the in-person meetings.
Across the stages will be twelve fellowship meetings – five 2-day in-person meetings and seven 90-minute virtual meetings – taking place roughly every 6 weeks. The first meeting will take place in Atlanta, GA. Each of the three fellowship teams will be expected to host a 2-day in-person session at their home institution at some point during Stages 2, 3, 4, and 5.
