Strategic Initiatives
The Southern Education Foundation has developed special strategic initiatives that support our mission to advance equitable education practices and policies in the South that will result in every student regardless of background attaining a high-quality education that propels them toward the opportunity-rich life they deserve. These initiatives may involve working in collaboration with other organizations or institutions, certain communities, or on our own to improve educational opportunity and opportunity for success for African Americans, other people of color, and people from low-income families in the South.
Fighting for equity and justice in education when done well takes place on the federal, state, local, and individual level.
