SEF and Legal Defense Fund Welcome Incoming SPLC President and CEO Margaret Huang
On Monday, February 10, 2020, SEF’s President and CEO Raymond Pierce and Director of Research and Policy Titilayo Tinubu Ali hosted Sherrilyn Ifill, President and Director-Counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Inc. (LDF); Monique L. Dixon, LDF’s Deputy Director of Policy and Director of State Advocacy; Karen Baynes-Dunning, Interim President and CEO of the Southern Policy Law Center (SPLC), and Margaret Huang, incoming President and CEO of SPLC, at a dinner celebrating Margaret’s selection as SPLC’s next leader.
Margaret, a champion for social justice and human dignity, currently serves as executive director of Amnesty International USA and brings more than 25 years of leadership experience to SPLC and SPLC Action Fund. Full text of SPLC’s announcement of Margaret’s selection is available here.
