SEF’s testimony to SC House on classroom censorship legislation

Fred Jones, SEF’s senior director of public policy and advocacy, submitted written testimony to the South Carolina House Education and Public Works K-12 Subcommittee in opposition of H. 3728, the South Carolina Transparency and Integrity in Education Act. This proposed legislation would restrict classroom discussion of race and racism, challenging students’ right to learn in favor of undue classroom censorship.
