Lynn Walker-Huntley Social Justice Fellowship
The Southern Education Foundation (SEF), in partnership with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), is proud to launch the Lynn Walker Huntley Social Justice Fellowship—a two-year, full-time opportunity based in Atlanta, Georgia, for early-career legal advocates dedicated to education justice in the South. From Fall 2026 to Summer 2028, the Fellow will support SEF’s Government Affairs and Advocacy team and SPLC’s Democracy: Education & Youth practice group in advancing fair education policy, strengthening public education, defending inclusive curricula, and contributing to impact litigation through SEF’s Brown’s Promise project. Rooted in SEF’s more than 150 year mission to advance educational justice through research, advocacy, and leadership development, this fellowship offers a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change across 17 Southern states. Applications open September 1, 2025.
