Early education advocates urge major caution on proposed Head Start changes

The Southern Education Foundation and 10 of our allies for equity in early childhood education provide a detailed response in the letter below on a component of the proposed regulations for the federal Head Start program. While these organizations support the goals of achieving pay parity between Head Start and K-3 educators, moving too quickly could mean that programs would serve fewer children in need of early childhood services.
