SEF Submits Comments to Georgia Professional Standards Commission

Darian Burns, SEF’s legislative and public policy analyst, submitted comments to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission in response to proposed amendments that aim to purge the state’s educator preparation standards of all references to diversity, equity, and inclusion and culturally responsive practices. The standards changes contradict the Commission’s obligation to ensure high standards and preparation for educators in the state and deny an inclusive environment that supports the needs of all students.
