The Equity Assistance Center–South at SEF advises, assists, and serves our public education systems with addressing issues of equity in the areas of race, national origin, sex, and religion, to promote educational access and opportunity for all students.

We proudly serve Region II: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

The Educational Equity Indicators Professional Learning Series:

Educational attainment is the goal for all children in the United States (NASEM, Monitoring Educational Equity, 2019). This EAC-South series of free professional development events provides opportunities for discussion, and frameworks, strategies, and promising practices to improve and monitor student success by strengthening educational opportunities for all students.

This year’s series covers topics such as

K-12 learning and engagement
Educational attainment
The impact of racial, ethnic, and economic segregation
Equitable access to high-quality curricula and instruction
Equitable access to supportive school and classroom environments
